I haven't listened to much from them but I loved Dots and Loops and Emperor. I didn't really dig Transient Random Noise Bursts, it seems like thats the "patrician" pick in here.

I've only heard Transient Random Noise Bursts and Emperor Tomato Ketchup. While I prefer the latter I think both albums are excellent.

It's the best pick because it's them at their most inventive other than Dots. Transient is shoegazey and developmental and jammy
Dots is composed and minimal and structured

ETK is just pop shite

Dots & Loops is my fav, but I feel like it could've been any of their stuff really up until Sound-Dust, it's just I heard D&L first. Transient and ETK tied for 2nd fav. Very consistent band.

Best songs would be Pack Yr Romantic Mind or Miss Modular. Also shout out to Jenny Ondioline, Metronomic Underground, Brakhage, Infinity Girl

Haven't heard any of their stuff from after Mary Hansen's death.

I dunno about shite. ETK is pop but I'd say it's pop with integrity. Definitely catchier but aside from maybe Cybele's Reverie I couldn't see any of it dominating the charts, it's still too rooted in their experimentalism.

Dots and Loops, no doubt

I'm honestly obsessed with it. I went through a phase years ago where I'd listen to it once a day for months. Never grew tired of it

Brakhage just has that distinct French pop sound, imho. Love that track.
