This town needs guns - animals & 1.3.0.0.0.0.0 (or something)

I dislike the vocals on 13 but others prefer it over animals'. Decide yourself

seconding animals
Its the closest album i have found to american football. Not as emotional as i would have hoped for but the math rock guitar is there.

Put that turd away and listen to Sweep The Leg Johnny.

And don't conflate Math and Emo. Since music can't BE a genre, there's no use in genres if you're not using them to communicate something musically specific.

I recognize that math and emo are separate mane. American football is just a tangent in terms of style I'm looking for.

Chinese Football
Algernon Cadwallader
Brave Little Abacus

>Chinese Football

Is it any different from American Football?

This image should help a little. As for similar to AF, the tone and style is VASTLY different, but Seam's Are You Driving Me Crazy? is the superior breakup album if you ask me.

This town needs guns is pretty shit math rock IMO.
Even though the album concept of animals is great.
I really like toe when it comes to math rock
Toe - for long tomorrow is great all around, the drums are amazing.
Don't know much about emo but Pinkerton seems kinda emo... Right? Love the guitars in it atleast

If bygones, Zach and Hella are math I apparently really have no idea what the Fuck I'm talking about.
I though necromancer was experimental free jazz?
This town needs guns sucks regardless, can somebody explain there appeal?

sad indie rock isn't the same thing as emo
>>
>>65149420
- Anon said satisfactorily. More to himself than anyone, as he failed to then explain what emo is.
>>
>>65148984
Algernon is twinkle emo really

Can't really call it mathrock, the genre came from emo even though it has strong math influences
>>
>>65149475
emo is hardcore punk played in a more personal matter. the evolution of that is screamo

listen to Joe's guitar work on Parrot Flies. i would call them math pop over emo even, if the singer toned it down slightly.
>>

I'll pay attention to it, at work now tho

Twinkle emo is for plebs with broken ears. Just listen to plain math. Specifically asian bands. They're killing it atm.

Japanese Math-Rock/Emo besides the one already named:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qsXxKawUos
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcconhcIfWQ (more J-Pop than Math-Rock, but definitely math-y)

seconding This Town Needs Guns "Animals" and Algernon Cadwallader Parrot "Some Kind Of Cadwallader"

still having this text document allegedly with Math-Rock bands, but I haven't looked through yet, so I don't know what it's worth..
