I'm looking to get into Bob Dylan but I've never heard any of his stuff. Where should I start? I heard Blonde on Blonde and Blood on the Tracks were his best.

They are his best.
With his first album, like you would any other artist.
They are his best.
he's had a long and diverse career
this or biograph would be a good starting point

This is what I did, his early stuff is fantastic
There are three *essential* Dylan albums, if you don't like them, realistically I can't see you liking the rest of his stuff, though it's still worth a shot:
The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan
Blonde on Blonde
Blood on the Tracks

I started with this actually. You could start sequentially but I would skip the first album. If you just want to start with the best I'd say Highway 61 Revisited or Blonde on Blonde.

desu starting with these three would be good
Check out The "Times They Are a-Changin'"
Dylan is great, you're gonna really enjoy him.
START WITH
- Blonde on Blonde
- The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan
- Highway 61 Revisted
LIKE THOSE? TRY THESE!
- Time Out of Mind
- Another Side of Bob Dylan
- Blood on the Tracks
WOW THIS DUDE RULES! WHAT ELSE IS GREAT?
- Nashville Skyline
- Modern Times
- Oh Mercy
HOLY SHIT I LOVE BOB DYLAN THERE CAN'T POSSIBLE BE MORE ESSENTIALS?!
- The Times They Are A-Changin'
- Desire
- Love+Theft
- Bringing It All Back Home
- John Wesley Harding
OTHER SOLID ALBUMS
- Bob Dylan
- Tempest
- New Morning
- Planet Waves
- Street Legal
- Infidels
- Self-Portrait (yes I think this album is solid)
And at this point just listen to every one of his albums. In my honest opinion only a few of his albums are real stinkers... Under the Red Sky, Dylan and Saved are the only ones I actively dislike.
Dylan is life.

Literally everyone is wrong above me. Start with "Bringing it All Back Home". I used to really dislike Bobviously Dylan, but then I heard "Subterranean Homesick Blues" in Dont Look Back and was hooked. So start with that

If you do go down this route, I'm going to make an odd recommendation for you: If you like the folk side of the album, listen to Dylan's electric trilogy; if you like the electric side of it, listen to Dylan's folk trilogy.
Dylan's primary pull is obviously his lyrics, I find the acoustic stuff on BIABH to be more similar in tone to his electric trilogy and vice versa for the tone of the electric stuff and the acoustic albums he made during the early 60s.

Subterranean Homesick blues. Learn to sing it.
Sad eyed lady of the low lands. So melancholy
Rock n Roll? >OP seeks "friday" by bob dylan.

i like st the best
look into his live albums like the historic 1966 Royal Albert Hall Concert and check out the background of that concert. a good source of background would be Martin Scorsese's rockumentary No Direction Home. even if you dont care for the live albums (which you should bc they are even better than his studio albums imo) its still a great rockumentary
Don't forget: There are TWO different versions of The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. Try and listen to both.
70s stuff is best also most accessible
basement tapes included. and john wesley harding.
