Check out Modal Soul. Its the only Nujabes album I've listened to so maybe the other anon knows a better entry point, but the album definitely fits the bittersweet descriptor. The lyrics can sound pretty hopeful, but sonically I've always found it good for late night walks. I particularly love Reflection Eternal
