well the thing is that only rock fans bring up hundreds of genres in their preferred form of music, so the hate towards those people is justified
on the other hand, jazz and classical fans are generally really chill. electronic fans are a mixed bag but even then they are less into that stuff than rock fans, and I can't speak for traditional fans
