I'm laying them flat for the picutre, and what would you recommend, since clearly I should kill myself and I'm looking for a nice song to go out to.
>>
1) stop stacking your records

2) The Wall? Seriously?
>>
Currents is shit
Plastic Beach is ok
The Wall is the worst PF album from the 67-79 era
The Doors is Good
Sun Araw is ok sometimes
Don't know the others but you should kill youself tho

Laying a stack of them flat for 3 seconds is all it takes to fuck them up

Top Left are Used Med+ Quality.
Top Right are Reissues.
Bottom Left are all 80's Metal records, Med+ Quality.
Bottom Right are Soft Rock, Med- Quality.

No.
If I buy an album, it comes with a download code. If it doesn't, though, it's pretty easy to get a decent quality download while I wait.

It's the convenience of CDs, and the quality of vinyl.

Most tapes I buy are just to get something physical out of supporting bandcamp artists or small labels. Most I have spent on a tape is $5. Only Tape I have bought new that wasn't a small artist was the might mighty bosstones. That was just to get free shipping on interpunk though.
>>
>>65135951
You should be able to bypass it and wire the tonearm leads right to the rca jacks. I picked up a pro-ject debut III USB with a burned out preamp for $100 on eBay, removed the USB board and desoldered the rca jack from the board and soldered the tonearm wires directly to it. Works perfectly, fixed it in 15 minutes.

Oh, so do I, but if I'm gonna sit there and fuck around with a CD, I might as well sit there and fuck around with a record.
Really, the only reason not to is
A) Price point (Though it depends on what you're into. I don't mind spending around ten bucks for a new record.)
B) Convenience (But again, with the MP3 downloads, you have all the 'versatility' a CD affords you.)

I think the beauty of vinyl and something that i would recommend to you is that it is so much easier to find older gems.
When I first started using vinyl when I was 14 and had been given my friend's dad's old Neil Young records, I started hanging out at record stores and really digging through everything from 60's french pop singers like the lovely Françoise Hardy to 70's R&B like Isaac Hayes or Bobby Womack. Just go out and get outside of your comfort zone. It gets personal with stuff that's a lot older.

HELL no haha they never got reissued!
I've had a daily "royal trux" ebay search emailed to my phone for the past 4 years til I found ONE listing of a cassette. And I had to buy it in a crate of Barbera Streisand and Springsteen tapes to get it. Completely worth it to me though it's my white whale album <3

Play Wall and Doors a few times then trade them in for credit:

I see you sort of like "arty" records, but try this:

last record day, columbia put out a double live Big Star album recorded in 1993 at Mizzou. Get it. You will hear everything you will ever need to know about songrcraft, esp as they play two Todd Rundgren covers.

Pick up Animals and Wish you were here by Pink Floyd

Frances the Mute by Mars Volta (or all of them really, but we are trying things on for size right now, right?

Smokin' or Live at the Fillmore by Humble Pie

Village Green Preservation Society by the Kinks

Walk don't run by the Ventures

Otis Redding live at the Whiskey

Let it Bleed by Rolling Stones (or Its Only Rock and Roll) Most people will tell you Exile on Main Street, but these two rock way better. Plus, they book end the best RS lineup - the one with Mick Taylor. He starts on Gimme and its only rnr is his last

Suede by Suede

this is my Trth now tell me yours, by manic Street Preachers

Anything by New Mastersounds for when you just want to groove.

I like some good stoner metal, but thats up to you. I'd say Warpriders by the Sword or the Windhand album.

Early Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green and/or Bob Welch

That shoudl spread it about, but pretty much completely misses the late 70's and 80's. I'd mostly stick to the punk end from that era, though...oh wait, King Crimson did soem good stuff then and Blondie's Parallel Lines is a classic.

All the best.

Oh fuck, i almost forgot to add machine Head and/or In Rock by Deep Purple. Ritchie Blackmore is a true gutar god.

Trane live at temple, love supreme, concert by the sea, playing by old and new dreams, some nasty paul bley, OG graceland paul simon, OG zeppelin 4, monks dream, state of the tenor, OG rastaman vibrations, OG unit structures, more bach tchaikovsky, stravinsky, and bartok then i know what to do with including some OG's of stuff like rite of spring, count meets duke, OG grateful dead europe 72 by the dead OG in memory of elizabeth reed allman brothers, some OG weather report , OG beach boys all summer long, a ton of ornette coleman, some albert ayler, good amount of paul bley. thats alot of it, lot of random shit too. oh and methenys bright size life.

oh my bad man, i didnt quite catch why you posted the ?, i saw that jack bruce and will probably check it out. another one of my rock discs is disraeli gears and i really love jack bruce. you should check out a jazz opera called escalator over the hill by carla bley, its long so maybe start with rawalpindi blues, Bruce sings and plays beatifully on it and jon mcclaughlin rips it up. a huge number of some of the best musicians of all time are featured on it.

It's a Music Hall mmf-5, had it for 10+ years and still works like new. The oil is Mobile 1 synthetic for platter the bearing. Anyone who owns a Music Hall or Pro-ject should clean the bearing every so often and add new oil, keeps it whisper quiet.
