Also, didn't like that one quite as much as the one I posted. Sounded -- I don't know quite how to put this -- boring? Either way, if that's what Utada Hikaru's music is like, I think I'll pass. Her voice is incredible, but I'm not quite so into her songwriting.

I would think some of Yoko's stuff would be weeby just because yeah quite a bit of her stuff is great for anime/video game standards, but isn't all that great standing as music on its own.
As for other weeby stuff, it's more or less no different from radio pop music outside surface level aesthetics, and it gets love only because it's got that anime inspired aesthetic/or an entirely Japanese approach with vocaloids either way it's not all that interesting.
