let's have a comfy bork thread guys
post your favourite bork songs and images
how would you rank her albums? what do you want/expect from the new album? any thoughts on her acting career? etc. etc. etc.
REMEMBER NOT TO RESPOND TO ANTI-BORK POSTERS OR RICARDO POSTERS
IT'S BORK TIME NOT FIGHT TIME
i want the exact opposite from her new album. the last one was separation/turbulence. I want unity/utopia from the next one. i need some peace. also medulla is her best fight me bitches
>>65120610
I just want a Debut/Post v2.0
>>65120610
medulla is the bomb, i think vespertine is her best but medulla and homogenic are close behind
she said at one point that the new album would be "heaven to vulnicura's hell" so i'm down as long as she's trying something fresh at the same time
>>65120655
i'd prefer a vespertine v2.0 honestly. but yeah debut and post are certainly underrated

>>65121344
Are you stupid? She is not inuit.
In her solo career, past the juvenile Bjork (Falkinn, 1977), the Sugarcubes' singer Bjork Gudmundsdottir adopted the worst vice of their monotonous records, the propensity for trivial dance-pop, but took it to new heights. There is no question that she boasted uncommon vocal skills, although there is also no question that she is lacking in compositional skills, a fact that constantly forced her to team up with famous producers.
We must admit she has been very good at absorbing and recycling styles and techniques of modern music in order to impose her personality. If we wanted to analyze Bjork’s career, Madonna could indeed be taken as a model. In fact, Bjork’s strategy (rather than her sound) is the same as Madonna’s. If Madonna is the symbol of alternative, provocation, affront, in a word the punk aesthetics, then Bjork is the symbol of mainstream, alignment, compliance, in a word the return to middle-class values after the punk movement. Bjork does not upset the public, she entertrains it. If Madonna’s message was coarsely obvious, then Bjork’s is subliminal, but nonetheless in step with the mood of her days. Bjork can rely on a stunning voice and some creative arrangers. In the productions of both artists, music has a subordinate role.
This might be one of the worst threads I've seen on /mu/

>an involving discography made only by beautiful records, each one very different from the others, both musically and emotively

>multimedial artist who runs a interdisciplinary art project which is school subject in Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Greenland and Denmark
>has her own installations into a museum
>interviewed significant music figures such as Stockhausen, Arvo Part and John Cage, whose all demonstrated appreciation for her music

this board has a lot of mixed opinions on biophilia
good or nah?
>>65137372
all of bjork is overall good, including volta. Personally, i think Biophilia just needs a few listens to get into or understand
>>65138230
she tried a lot of cool new things on the record but i didn't care for almost any of them
same could be said for volta
>>65137372
i think Biophilia is an underrated masterpiece
>>65131737
I'd recommend Post, since it is her most "all over the place" release
>>65127845

The OST to Drawing Restraint 9 is amazing.
Vespertine would be kind of watery without Pagan Poetry, which is her most universally appreciated album. But you can't say the same of Biophilia, where every song feels vital and discrete.
