I really wish there were more replies. Just starting out here and my setup is super basic all craigslist finds

zildjian 20" k ride
tama superstar snare and bass
zildjian a custom hats

Want to play mostly jazz and I put together this whole kit for about 250. Really sucks learning right now. I feel like I really cant do anything consistently
>>
Used to own a big Tama Artstar kit with a lot of cymbals and toms. Sold it all to get this Pearl Masters MMX kit a few years back. Less is more.

got 2 actually.

this ones a wine red pearl export 5-piece with zildjian hats, a shitty camber c4000 crash/ride, a zildjian hihat bottom used as a splash (?) and a zildjian ride with holes that I cannot identify...

the heads on this kit are kind of shitty and it was given to me from a friend, didn't really have the time to change em.

this one is a green wood premier powerhouse (might be an older xbk too idk) 5-piece with all sabian x20s (14'' medium hihats, 16 & 18'' medium thin crashes and a 20'' medium ride).

this is the drum set I more often use to play and practice.

>>65100816
practice with a metronome as much as you can and always start slow when building speed, hands or feet.
>>
no kit unfortunately, never been able to get my own one due to space/noise issues. have rented out other people's in the past which sufficed for a while.

actually learned to play drums through Rock Band after getting really good at it

only problem is that I can do loads of technical stuff, but my time keeping and general knowledge of drumming is pretty poor

Op here, Bretty good cymbals you have, especially for the price. When it comes to consistent playing all you have to do is consistently practice it will come I guarantee
>>
>>65100816
Op here, once you feel comfortable with your own abilities, try forming some sort of band, or just jamming with your friends, this will really help you with timing, feel, improv and so much more attributes. And just try to enjoy yourself drumming

Op here, Maybe start on a cheap electronic kit, or just a plastic practice one. Hell using pillows and cardboard boxes can help you if you dont have a kit. I wish you well

Op here, Sabians are great im using the 18" stage crash it's a beauty
>>

Had an E-kit for a while actually. It wasn't great and I still had to spend ages setting it up due to space issues, ended up selling it.

I've been thinking about just getting some various things to hit and playing along to a metronome just to increase my time keeping abilities.

Good shout, anon
