Is there a thing in music where if a sequel to a highly regarded work takes too long to release then people will just not give a shit anymore or it won't be as good because of the unrealistic expectations?

Danny Seth is a rapper from London, he's got a strong flow and makes lots of dick jokes but he's good

Killer Mike solo wasn't that great desu which makes it a bit obvious. I honestly prefer el's solo work over solo efforts by DOOM and Madlib. Lots of variety and clear development, with a concise solo catalog.
