I could never get into this album I don't know why, it's probably one of my least favorite John albums. To record water for only 10 days shares the same sound though. What tracks stood out for you on that album OP?

Record Only Water's way rougher and more lo-fi. Empyrean and Will To Death are probably the most comparable, but even those aren't anywhere nearly as slickly produced.

You'd probably really like The Empyrean, it was John's final hurrah at listenable music before he started delving into godawful electronic noodling
If you don't mind rockier, all Those '2004' albums, yes. They're not clean stuff, but i get taht whole period as one thanh.
