but not any notable ones no, give it a few years, when indie starts getting boring it'll get more aggressive and we'll see what happens
It'd be cool to see a revival of a sound like Green River, Screaming Trees and like Mother Love Bone if that's what you mean
There's some emo/shoegaze bands that incorporate it into their sound

grunge is not and never was a thing so no

this already happened like three years ago you out of touch moron. step outside your echo chamber

mother love bone is literally d-list guns n roses
>>65080396
someone said that exact thing but it was about Blind Melon, I think it's just the voice

I asked a similiar question and was given this vid as a response.
I think we've got a minor resurgence, but no major talent has emerged in part because the audience for guitar music isn't as enthusiastic as it once was. Touring to boring crowds kills bands unbelievably fast.

no, mother love bone was literally just a shitty local hair metal band, they didn't influence shit. those guys all went on to play tepid buttrock, they weren't part of the same DIY punk scene as bands like Nirvana and TAD

Fortunately not.

Superheaven are cool
Violent Soho are pretty great but they've been around for a while now

Yeah there's a probability that if a grunge revival happens it's derivative rubbish. Hopefully people look back at the unique bands of that era instead of trying to replicate the more popular ones.

Skin Yard are Mother Love Bone except great and actually influential tbqh

have you literally never been to your local venues? they are flooded with wannabe nirvana faggots and their respective 1-month lasting bands
>>65080868
I only go to my local venues for my cities genuinely good sludge scene
We also have two transcendental black metal bands that are absurd
>>65080077
I wish. I'd love some Alice in Chains shit
East Vancouver has alot of grunge revival bands but none of them have made it big
>>65080351
nice recs
>>65080351
I think superheaven can be catchy but it sounds like guilty pleasure music to me. It is very generic alt rock that happens to sound marginally above average.

>Skin Yard are Mother Love Bone
God, this brand of grunge is so mediocre to me. They sound like GnR worship. Throw Green River in there too, but they're a bit more lo-fi because of Mark Arm. Essentially any early grunge band with Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament sounds like GnR worship to my ears.

>sludge scene
yawn, its always so generic
