WLWH is an overrated mess. If you knew anything about music at all, you'd immediately understand that it's a gimmicky piece of shit. Sister Ray is an embarrassingly stagnant jam track played on one chord, and The Gift is as much of a novelty track as anything on Lulu. Those two tracks overstay their welcome for so long that they make up more than half the album. Learn an instrument and music theory so you don't become a moronic idiot who has no idea what they're talking about (I hope this is why, because anyone who understands how fucking bland WLWH is and yet still prefers it to TVU&N would likely be mentally handicapped). It's close, but I think Sgt. Peppers edges out here. As many timbres as TVU&N explored, very few albums explore as many techniques and timbres that Sgt. Peppers has. That's not to even mention the amount of songwriting genius going on in Sgt. Peppers in terms of how many melodies come in and out over fun always moving harmonic progressions. Artists that this board dick rides like King Crimson, Radiohead, and Animal Collective have benefited far more from the approach towards composition that The Beatles have done on Sgt. Peppers than TVU&N. In fact, considering how much this board likes those bands it's surprising that Peppers isn't winning this one on a landslide.

Let me put it this way:
Innovative =/= necessarily good. TVUN sure impacted music heavily, but I believe that as a standalone record, it's very flawed. Some of the songwriting is painfully cheesy (I'll be your mirror) or plain uninteresting (it seems that no matter what, I can only enjoy individual songs on this record).
It is still great though. European Son, Heroin, Sunday Morning, Run and Venus in Furs are outstanding songs. Everything else falls flat, IMO.

You named 5 songs out 11. Let me add The Black Angel's Death Song because it's fucking great and upsetting, paired with European Son. Let me add also All Tomorrow's Parties, which is enough weird, catchy and unique to be remembered (it was even the favorite of Warhol). Regarding the two songs where Nico sings alone, maybe they're not your thing because you just don't like sweet simple soothing sad feminine folk songs (I'm assuming), but so many people love them, probably more than the rest of the album. At this point, two pieces remain outside, I'm Waiting For The Man and There She Goes Again: they're actually less beautiful, but they're still solid IMO (and they're only 2 out of 11). So... after all every album has its weak points. It's a consequence of the fact that it's divided into smaller parts that are called songs.

5 out of the 11 is less than half the songs. That's not good at all. The albums, rather, has highpoints that stand out in a mediocre work.
I just don't like it. I don't believe it's as good as people make it to be, and it doesn't deserve the praise. Don't get ,e wrong, I fully believe that it does has its place in musical history. I still think it's mediocre the majority of its runtime.
