So it appears that the largest percentage of people have voted for the Sonics. I don't dislike them, but to me they just sound like any other 60s garage rock band - they don't sound very punk to me. Maybe just proto-punk. What do you think makes them more punk than all the other garage rock bands of the 1960s?

first of all you do understand this is not an original composition right? It is simply an original arrangement. That exact chord progression had already been used in countless songs by this time.
