In Rainbows
Steven R. Smith & Dirk Serries - Hymnal
Roy Montgomery - Temple IV
kinda hard to describe this one - best way for me to call it, it's a blend of ambient, psychedelic folk, and post-rock; a guy on discogs described it better than i ever could
>Dedicated to a woman named Joanna and inspired by a night spent on top of an ancient Mayan temple in the Guatamalan rainforest, Temple IV represents Montgomery's attempt to come to terms with her death. Temple IV is often otherworldly, deeply personal and at times intensely emotional, despite being completely instrumental.
unfortunately the cd's out of print, but you can easily stream it online
same guy also released a split ep with grouper - it's just as fantastic

Have you listened to Ruins? It's my favorite Grouper album and it describes what you're looking for.
