Ooh oooh! I've got a suggestion!
This album is actually really relaxing, I recommend it for drifting off and sleeping. The name is "Le Roi Est Mort! Vive Le Roi!"
It's really groove new-age-y type music, and each track flowing into the next beautifully. Other than that, I'd recommend Kid A by Radiohead (or their new album, for that matter) and perhaps Disintigration by the Cure (though that's more grooving)
Also Brain Enos songs for airports is good.

I'm legit surprised no one has mentioned Robert Rich yet. Pic related literally meant to be slept to.

this one takes the fuckin cake

William Basinski's tape loop stuff (Disintegration Loops, El Camino Real, 92982), Tannenbaum by Kevin Drumm, Substrata by Biosphere. Maneuvering The Nocturnal Hum by Stars Of The Lid is criminally underrated, and is the best album (it's an EP, but w/e) by them to fall asleep to.

Listen to these people as well
>>
Basinski and Star of the Lid are babby's first ambient. they're great to fall asleep to because they contribute absolutely nothing of musical interest. they are literally impossible to listen to actively without feeling lethargic.

Someone always asks this same question every single day. Just check the archive, seriously. Have a sage and an essential album.

>>65062816
That's the best ambient album to stay awake to, actually.
