What are your favourite demos/outtakes.
Mine is without a doubt She's Your Lover Now by Bob Dylan. It's just fucking cool. Blasé and melodramatic at the same time.

The only full version I can find is on Spotify.

Close second is Strawberry Fields Forever Take 1 with three part harmony overdubs. It's been pretty much wiped off the internet but I have it on my computer, where would be the best place to upload it and link here? It's crazy to think Lennon made that and then thought, nah this needs another 20 takes.
Blossom by Nick Drake. Too bad he never made a studio version.

Zippyshare or mega should work.
i've always liked the 1970 recording of lennon playing help on piano, it's supposed to be how he originally intended it to be, since it was never supposed to be a happy song. too bad a full length recording hasn't surfaced / no longer exists:

Probably just the recording quality and piano, but that sounds so much like Daniel Johnston.

I love Take 1 of Sad-Eyed Lady of The Lowlands

Thanks, I'll put it on mega. just transferring it from my drive.
Just going to take this thread as an opportunity, since Dylan's latest album consists of outtakes, to say that his vocals on his version of That Old Black Magic are his best vocals on record in at least twenty years.
Here's Strawberry Fields Forever take 1 + overdubs. Hopefully the link works:

I agree. Thanks for sharing!
There's a version of Million Dollar Bash on The Basement Tapes Complete that is infinitely better than the version that made it onto the final album.
I'm Looking Through You on Anthology 1 (maybe 2). It sounds like a Monkees song, much different to the released version, and I prefer it.
