Jai paul "has" a "collection of songs" that were "released" on bandcamp and then "taken down" by XL and Jai. Its not official but it's all we have and it is so good.
I agree, there could have been some songs cut to make it more concise, but there isn't a single james blake song that I've outright disliked. Overall a great addition to his discography.
As far as moving onto new stuff, I think that's what he tried with overgrown and I think he was expecting more praise or something hence why the new album sounds more like his debut.
One somewhat minor issue I have with blake is his lyricism. On the self titled it isn't an issue because the vocals are so distorted you can't really understand them or he is doing a cover, but on a handful of tracks on Overgrown and ALOT of tracks on TCIA, the lyrics are something a brooding teenager who is having relationship issues would write... maybe that's why I like him so much
