when will old music acts stop making these stupid fucking comeback albums? or more accurately, when will the music press and online music communities stop sucking their dicks for doing so? in the 2010s, there have been a glut of actual old acts or emulators contributing nothing to the progress of older musical forms. rock music has been dead for almost two decades now, and we keep fucking its corpse. shame on all of the following:

Swans
David Bowie
Radiohead
The Stone Roses
My Bloody Valentine
Slowdive
Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Sun Kil Moon
Boards of Canada (not rock, but similarly selling out)
Tame Impala (useless imitators of The Beatles)
LCD Soundsystem (useless imitators of Talking Heads)
Vampire Weekend (useless imitators of Paul Simon)

and probably more that I just can't think of off the top of my head.
>>
god forbid a musician makes music and decides to release it.
its worth noting that Bowie album is fucking gold, and he never stopped putting music out long enough to have a come back.
Boards of Canada still got it as well.
LCD Soundsystem bashing too?
damn breh you sound like no fun.

Rock isn't dead you're just a pleb

There is nothing similar to Swans music actually tho and nobody ever toped My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive in shoegaze, same for GYBE, a lot of copy but nothing is even just equal to them.

>Continuing to do something you loved enough to devote your life to is selling out
Considering getting tested OP
>>
Sun Kil Moon has been a band since 2003 and has released material regularly since then
Swans comebacks were good
Blackstar was good and I don't even really consider it a comeback album
MBV was all old material
Radiohead didn't stop being a band
>>
>>64807314
sun kil moon has never even stopped releasing music
>>

Swans comeback is actually good desu
Bowie never stopped making music
Radiohead never stoppped making music
mbv wasn't the best album ever, but it was still pretty good
Slowdive never released a comeback album

I don't even know why I wrote this all out, OP is clearly just a faggot.
