like radiohead but actually good
they are fun, despite whatever /mu/ thinks
their first album is quite interesting
they peaked with pic related
their stuff afterwards are mostly good singles and average albums until they released the 2nd law and drones which are kinda preachy with cringeworthy lyrics

First two albums are basically a rockier, more upbeat Radiohead circa OK Computer with slight prog tendencies and are definitely worth checking out.
Their next two albums are more poppy but also great imo. They have some very nicce songwriting and melodies. Also worth checkint out.
The Resistance was REALLY hit and miss. Feel free to skip it.
The 2nd Law was better but still a bit hit and miss. Only check it out if you listened to their first 4 albums.
The Drones is their rockiest album yet, but also an incoherent mess with cringe tier lyrics. Feel free to skip it.
Also their live album Hullaballoo os great and worth a listen. Their B sides are also quite good.

Absolution was also decent, mainly for the bass line in Hysteria.
Arguably one of the best live acts right now.. they were even better in the 2000's. Bellamy is a talented composer who started shitting out pop rock songs by the dozen with the occasional song on an album that hints at what they used to be.
