because astonishing was my introduction to them and while its aoty I dont really like it enough to explore their discography

Is there a flowchart for getting into Dream Theater?
This is a cheesy band listened to by 14 year olds who want to seem sophisiticated. The band is ridiculous, and is honestly on par with DragonForce. It's the idea of what music should be, as understood by a kid from a suburb in middle America who's never been exposed to it. People who like them usually list favorites as "Mozart, Beethoven, and rock music like Dream Theater", despite the fact that the only bands they listen to regularly are Dream Theater and Linkin Park, though they also like the song "Wish You Were Here" so they can feel like they're into Pink Floyd
most of the tracks are really cheesy.
the last one is not bad though.
