Is it really that minimal? The tracks seem to have a pretty good amount of effects and manipulation done to them. Also some of the tracks sound like multiple samples were layered on top of each other.

I like how ambient and droney it is at points, it's much more dark and eerie compared to the other vaporwave albums I've heard. The reversed samples and slowed down vocals and pitch shifting make it very creepy sounding. I wish there was more vaporwave albums like it, actually I'm making one right now that is somewhat similar to it, though the sample sources are a bit different.

Multiple different genres. Some of it will use typical 80's stuff, also I'm gonna mix in some guitar shredder guys music (surprisingly can be great to sample sometimes, well the ones that have keyboard players anyway) and other genres that I can fit into it that sound good with it, one track samples an EAI track for instance, and some of my own recordings that I captured myself with my Tascam. I have a few tracks done for it so far, working on editing them a bit/ adding more effects, I'm really liking the way its turning out so far, very dark unsettling nightmare fuel type stuff.

I've been toying around with black metal tremolo samples and horror OVA soundtracks but not much has come out of it; there's still some great potential in heavier or darker VW. I mean beyond WOSX's gabber bullshit.

It's pretty hard to sample guitars in vaporwave in a way that actually sounds good, these guitar shredder guys that I'm using, I'm sampling the parts of the tracks that have synths along with the guitar, also one track I'm sampling has a really nice violin part along with the guitar and synth that sounds amazing slowed down.

Holographic Technologies. The music I have made for it so far is nothing like the album I'm talking about in this thread. I have a cover that's almost finished for it that I think is pretty decent and quite nostalgic for me, I think other people would like it enough.
It will be released on cassette too when it comes out. Glad you liked that track, the album it will be on won't be entirely 80's tracks sampled like that one, there's also cheesy pop from the 60's and 70's, and 90's/ 2000's, I've tried to put a lot of variety in the samples for it.
