I've experimented with making my own just b/c its fun and I know what I'm doing. Theres some midi controller out there thats just like 9 or 16 arcade style push buttons that you can map to different shit in your daw but it costs like a couple hundred bucks, itd only be 50 if I made it myself so theres kind of a pont if you know what you're doing.
