Hey guys, an inquiry started in the last thread. I need help finding an album
It was a black metal album that someone posted here who knows how long ago. I get the feeling it was not a particularly obscure artist but I hadn't heard it before.
Quite melodic and triumphant from memory. At the 8 minute mark of the track posted (or album?) it launched into a really tight passage.
The album art featured a figure in the middle of a blue background, I think it was the ocean? Or maybe snow. The figure may have been a small boat or a whale of some sort. Possibly a guy on a horse though my memory might just be combining it with Storm of the Light's Bane. In any case I think it's a warm image as opposed a particularly cold one.
Pretty sure it was scandinavian.

This is pretty neat, the vocals at 4:17 go pretty high for 1971, I don't think metal vocals generally went that high until the first speed metal bands started forming in the late 70s and early 80s. I'm a sucker for the early metal sound so I'll check this out.
