Hey /mu/, hope your night's dope.

I'm looking for electronic dance music with a dark, twisted or disturbing edge to it. It doesn't really need to stick to any genre like goth, industrial, glitch or breakcore, but nonetheless have a somber aesthethic and sound.

Examples:

Thanks

some xinlisupreme songs are catchy, and theyre all very loud and abrasive
>>
none of those genres are dance music

No, but they are nonetheless related or can be used as dance music. At the least, that illustrates my ignorance, and thus my need of music to expand my musical horizons. Any recs?

I've been a Skinny Puppy fan for years and can't even imagine someone dancing to anything off of Too Dark Park. Headbanging, definitely. Dancing, though?

I got drunk and danced to Too Dark Park with some friends last weekend. It was damn fucking fun, may I say. Not all the tracks though, but some of em.

Where would this take place? A basement somewhere?

My apartment. I had like 7 people over, had some weed, drank wine and then played Spasmolytic for shits and giggles, but we all got up and danced. Kinda joking, kinda serious. It was pretty fun.

You know about the Prurient guy's Vatican Shadow project, right? Lots of danceable material there. That techno album he did as Prurient a couple of years ago was tops as well.

I love how the bass and the organ is all "wrong" (out of tune) but it still feels like a coherent thing
