I can suggest SHP9500s since they're cheap as fuck for overall quality but they're open headphones so the sound will leak. And investing in a cheap usb amp/dac will help too.

Lasted me 2 years, comfy, excellent pitch and bass is also great, good for music but also gaming as a bonus.
Only bad thing I can imagine is that the jack isn't unpluggable from the headphones themselves, but that's never been a concern for me.

Some people complain about discomfort, but I rarely experience discomfort. Most common places are edges of ears if you have larger ears and the top of your head where the band comes into contact.
In terms of sound, they're brilliant for the price. They are best for industrial, hip-hop, noise, and electronic, but everything sounds great on them(no weak points). As someone put it, "the bass punches at you."
Durable, as well. I've had mine for two years and constantly have them in a backpack(avoiding having them beneath heavy things, of course) and have experienced no damage or cracks in the cloth or leather.
Good price for the quality.
9/10 would recommend to someone who wants to explore music and doesn't solely focus in on a single music area or genre. If you typically only listen to one type, I would do some google searches for headphones based on that genre.

I don't have the m50x but I bought the m50s my freshman year of high school and I am still using the same pair in my sophomore year of college. I am totally satisfied with the sound, plus obviously the build quality has to be pretty solid
