You're just being contrarians.
>>
>>64659960
no i just like it more than kid a
which is the filler track, hunting bears?
>>
>>64659985
well duh
it's decent filler but still filler
>>
>>64660008
i think treefingers is just as much of a filler as hunting bears
>>
>>64659960
>less diverse than Kid A
>Hunting Bears
>Pyramid Song
>Knives Out
>Sardines
>Life in Glasshouse
Did you even listen to the album?
>>
>>64659960
>flows better than Kid A
>better instrumentation than Kid A
>what is Treefingers
>a more fulfilling complete listen
>Knives Out
>>
>>64660040
Not in the slightest.
>>64660080
Oh boy, all sad moody songs.
>>
>>64659960
it's a book
>>
>>64660008
>>64660040

>instrumental is always filler
Listen to some blues, some idm, some ambient techno and then never listen to music again you fucking plebs
>>
>>64660121
>Oh boy, all sad moody songs.
thats kid a and amnesiac in a nutshell
>>
>less diverse than Kid A

I disagree senpai
>>
>>64660158
It's a 2 minute, repetitive instrumental. Not just an instrumental.
>>64660162
National Anthem
Optimistic
In Limbo
>>
But Amnesiac is clearly the superior album
>>
>>64660179
Wow these songs are still moody but they feel a bit more paranoid you're right OP
>>
>>64660121
>all sad moody songs
Are you retarded? The album follows a certain mood/atmosphere, no shit the songs are similar in mood. They're objectively and musically different than eachother and that objectively makes the album diverse.
>>
>>64660179
>National Anthem
>Optimistic
>In Limbo

these are all sad and moody, maybe except national anthem
>>
>>64660224
It's dynamic contrast and contrast in atmosphere, there's actually loud music and soft music on Kid A.
>>
>>64659960
>Electronic
>Jazz
>Trip Hop
>Ambient
>Krautrock

>Less diverse
Nah family
>>
>>64660179
Hunting Bears is the climax of the album where unbearable existential dread gives way to a last hushed overdriven blues lick, mimicking I Might Be Wrong, the only shade of hope on a record that tries to simulate to experience of complete annihilation and paranoia. These two minutes are nothing less than orgasmic, all lost slowed-down howling guitar. It's Radiohead's final celebration of the death of Rock'n'Roll. The best song they ever made.
>>
>>64660291
This

Kid A feels more unified, but in every other aspect Amnesiac is better
>>
>>64660322
If you're not baiting, it's cool to know someone loves Hunting Bears that much, always was fond of that song for some reason.
>>
Kid A has better songs. In Limbo and Treefingers don't really hold up to a good amount of Amnesiac's songs but HTDC/Idioteque/Kid A are all better than anything on Amnesiac
>>
>>64660448
>If you're not baiting, it's cool to know someone loves Hunting Bears that much, always was fond of that song for some reason.
tried to emulate Scaruffi on that one, love the song though
>>
Kid A is just a more mature album all around. Amnesiac is stuck in the dark but Kid A has darkness and light.
>>
>>64660179
Packd Like Sardines
Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors
Morning Bell/Amnesiac
>>
>>64659960
if it wasn't for Spinning Plates and Life in a Glasshoue it would be 10/10
>>
>>64660502
Is the light in Kid A just Optimistic?
>>
>>64659960
>>less cohesive than Kid A
no
>>less diverse than Kid A
no
>>has an actual filler track
easiest way to spot a pleb is when they think like spinning plates is a filler track
>>people here STILL think it's "clearly" better
not "clearly" because most people are plebeians, but it is better.
>>
>>64660787
plen
>>
>>64660158
It's literally just a sparse instrumental reprise of "I Might Be Wrong", it's not even a unique composition.
>>
>>64660787
>Life in a Glasshoue
one of the best tracks on the album you fucking faggot
>>
>>64660502
Right on Anon ,Album has a hopeful ending
>>
>>64660862
>one of the best tracks on the album
it's literally just a sad jazz jam
doesn't even have a Radiohead twist to it
it's just
jazz
>>
>>64660809
No, as >>64660881 said the Untitled track at the end is also distinctly a sort of epilogue, saying "but the light refused to quit" or something similar.
>>
>>64660862
One of their best tracks honestly
>>
>>64660992
One who mentioned the ending anon , always took that burst of sound near the end as implying better things since the rest of the album is so nihilitic , Optimistic is in no way at all optimistic
>>
>>64660961
It's literally like no other jazz piece... at all. Find me a jazz track that sounds anything like it structurally

Both albums complete each other.

Do you think Treefingers is filler too? How about Fitter Happier?
>>
>>64659960
Life in a Glass House is the greatest radiohead song of all time, though

Pulk/Pull is their least accessible song so it's ok if you can't appreciate it OP
>>
>>64661578
Reminder no one thinks you have great taste for saying Life In a Glasshouse is the best Radiohead song just because it has horns and no guitar. Never liked that track.

>>
>>64659960
People like it because of dat atmosphere. People judge albums by different criteria, so even if they thought the album was less cohesive and less diverse (isn't that a contradiction?) than Kid A, they could still prefer it because what it does well it does better than Kid A.
>>
>>64661546
What the fuck does that mean?
>>
>>64661683
Pulk/Pull is seriously great
>>
>>64659960
>>less cohesive than Kid A
>>less diverse than Kid A
So the songs are both too different and too similar?
>>
>>64661699
Liking a song because of unique instrumentation is a valid reason to like it. It's easily one of their most tragic tracks and the use of a jazz ensemble only adds to it imo.
>>
>>64659960
>less cohesive than Kid A
Hardly, but I'll agree with that I guess

>less diverse than Kid A
They're about equal actually

>has an actual filler track
So does Kid A

>people here STILL think it's "clearly" better
Well they're both great albums. What's so surprising about that?
>>
>>64660179
Oh, it repeats he says. It swells, you fucking retard.
>>
>>64660961
>one of the best tracks

Exactly
>>
>>64660833
how about instead of just saying "no", you give reasons as to why. :)
>>
>>64661560
Congrats, you correctly picked the worst songs from three of their albums.
