Besides, if you're gonna call a band of an specific genre underrated, one would assume you're talking about them being underrated by fans of said genre. Destruction and Coroner are immensely adored by thrash fans.

Let me put it this way:
The biggest thrash bands sell out arenas. Destruction and Coroner would not sell out a small club, even though they are equal to and maybe superior to the biggest thrash bands. Which to me means they are underrated.
Underrated does not mean unknown.
