It's funny, I remember /mu/ actually quite liked Tame Impala before the first few singles for Currents came out. You could argue that they became more 'pop,' and that's why people dislike them now, but their foundation was always KP's pop songwriting. They just did away with all the guitar-based psychedelia cliches on Currents.

There are tons of bands that catch more shit on here. The worst thing most people say about them is that they're mediocre/boring, and plenty of people like innerspeaker and lonerism well enough
