We all know well of the entertainment industry's cultivation of the far-right as murderous psychopaths. Part of the reason why /b/, /new/ and /pol/ exist in the first place is to deliberately play up those stereotypes for the purpose of mockery. Outsider here. Why is the whole "Anti-Nazi" thing so fucking HUGE in the punk world right now? Maybe I'm just biased because I have a few punk friends who have anti-nazi patches all over their jackets and whatnot
And I realize now that asking why people are so anti-nazi could be construed as very racist. Im not a nazi, I think nazis are despicable. But, like, they're not really much of a problem anymore? I mean if this was 1940s Germany when it was actually rebellious to be anti-Nazi, sure. But if you're a teen in America in 2016 wearing "Ant-Nazi" merch from your head to your toe, no one is gonna come up to you and be like "Hey, I disagree. I think Nazis are okay". I dunno, maybe Im just not getting it, but being anti-nazi is one of the safest things you could do in the US.

In America, racists found refuge in the Hardcore Punk scene, so Jello Biafra did everything he could to inspire others to purge the scene of racists. Those who wore Swastikas unironically.

People have different names for it (ie: sectarianism, tribalism, et fucking cetera), but in the end, human beings consider their identity paramount, and those with political aspirations will exploit it for their own benefit.

At this point, being "anti-Nazi" is as radical as going to church. Just having opinions right-of-center while associating with Punk subculture is enough to send your garden variety Antifa-type into spastic fits.
On another note, for all the subculture's collective bloviating about anarchism and communism, ever notice the average Punk rarely produces anything original and merely exists to bitch at the mainstream? For all their anti-society credentials they love to bolster, you rarely see any of them do anything constructive. They're mostly content to either parrot whatever some ivory tower intellectual told them (at best) or get in street fights with perceived enemies. Sure, they may do small things like dumpster diving and feeding the homeless supermarket discards, but its impact is absolutely minimal. Do any of them know basic construction so they could build homes instead of squatting?

Mudoven rules! It's a one man side-project of Jim Crow, guitarist of Vaginal Jesus. I like that, unlike other white power bands which sing of banal motifs like white pride, Mudoven cuts right to the chase and spews unrepentant hatred. Gotta appreciate being upfront.
No Remorse is similarly great. "The Best of No Remorse" is worth hearing for rerecorded versions of songs. Higher fidelity and Paul Burnley sounds better on record.
"Total Doom" was my earliest introduction to Crust Punk, and even now, it still holds up. I've heard others dismiss them as a third-rate Discharge or, more disparagingly, a patch band, but fuck 'em, it still sounds great.
"Rock 'n' Roll Conformity" LP and "Welcome to the Orgy" EP are both great. "Gutteral Breath" had some interesting ideas, but in the end, the execution was rather sloppy.
Hellbastard's "Heading for Internal Darkness" is brilliant. Easily one of my favorite albums.
Poison Girls are an interesting band. Penny Rimbaud liked them quite well. I obviously don't care much for the feminism, but I do appreciate the convictions held by the band.
Same with Life Cycle. I prefer Life Cycle because their sound is more my speed.
To be quite honest, Axegrinder's overrated. Sure, the riffs are quite heavy and dirty sounding, but they end up sounding like a third-rate "Monolith"-era Amebix clone.
