Considering how similar Black Future is to Outer Isolation and Terminal Redux I can only imagine you hold this opinion because after Black Future people actually knew who Vektor was and you need to maintain your "hipster" cred.

Black Future was amazing. I'm sure the songs are hard to play but they aren't classified as technical metal. You must be confusing them with Technical Death, where the "songs" are just a random smattering of riffs and tempo changes. Vektor actually knows how to compose songs.

I don't think they suck but I personally find them boring. Melodeath is a pretty weak genre to begin with though. What else is there today? Be'Lakor, Kalmah,...?

I think the riffs are still very strong. The concept of the album is really cool. I like the addition of sparse clean vocals and choir vocals too. I've listened to Terminal Redux only 3 times so I can't say if I like it more than Outer Isolation. Still really fucking enjoy it
