Post underrated Radiohead songs, best if you can describe why you think they're better than people believe, stand out or if they're better live

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpk835d1K7U

Myxomatosis is fantastic, such a high energy song while still having a complex beat and interesting instrumentals. Thom's performance in this isn't great but the amount of energy he gives off is really what music is about
>>
>>64639392
A lot of Amnesiac , Life in a Glasshouse and You in What army especially
>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hC9jt689wuc

i feel like in limbo doesnt get enough love, its my fav radiohead song
>>
Spies is often overlooked.
>>
>>64639392
electioneering is a jam and a half

same with where i end and you begin
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwTFJYAlGwY&list=PLC5227FDAEAF8BD66&index=6

feral is the best track on TKOL
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dapdkr42pLE
>>
whats the most underrated track off OK Computer?

Subterranean Homesick Alien never seems to get as much praise as the big ones, I think it's one of their best
>>
>>64639456
>big bang theory
we 9gag now?
>>
Like spinning plates. The live version on I might Be Wrong is amazing
>>
>>64639456
>>64639392
FUCK WHY THIS THREAD

OP YOU ARE SHIT FACE

i love my mom
>>
subterrenean homesick alien
>>
>>64639484
most underrated is fitter happier, and if that doesn't count, climbing up the walls, exit music and airbag.
>>
>>64639445
In Limbo , underrated , its one of my favs of Kid A
>>
>>64639484
I'd agree, I also think it's unfair to class Fitter Happier as an interlude
>>
>>64639511
Climbing up the walls is one of the best of OC , like it better than No surprises
>>
Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors is GOAT-tier and it deserves more credit.
>>
>>64639456
if you post big bang theory again your mother will die in her sleep tonight.
>>
>>64639392
hail to the thief in general is underrated
wolf at the door and sit down stand up are two of radiohead's best tracks, period. myxamatosis, we suck young blood and where i end and you begin are underrated too
>>
>>64639546
that's because no surprises was generic pop garbage.
>>
Sit down Stand up anyone?
>>
>>64639604
Doesnt explain why so many fans like it
>>
>>64639602
Agreed on We Suck Young Blood. That song really gets to me, how slow it is, and how much if a cathartic release that piano bit in the middle is. It's fantastic because of how the reserved it is.
>>
>>64639392
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flCKIvukz68

My favourite track off In Rainbows and one of my favourite Radiohead tracks period. Gives me the chills every time I listen to it.
>>
>>64639604
It really wasn't and even if you're baiting you've still severely fucking triggered me because you will never write a song like that in your pathetic fucking life. It is truly one of the most breathtaking moments of musical history
>>
>>64639626
Mentioned in another thread anon , build up is great but those lasers sounds kind of dated
>>
>>64639659
come on dude no surprises is one of the weakest tracks on ok computer. it doesn't evolve or grow like climbing up the walls, let down, paranoid, lucky, etc. the simplistic melody just isn't good enough to carry the song.
>>
>>64639659
Calm down anon , Let Down off of the same album was better
>>
Polyethylene is fucking amazing.

It's pretty difficult to discuss underrated Radiohead songs, given how acclaimed they are. I've pretty much seen every single song on all of their albums receive praise by plenty of people, and a lot of their B-sides are well known among the fanbase for being of excellent quality. A song I think is truly underrated is probably You from Pablo Honey and Bishop's Robes, which is a B-side. Both are totally great tunes.
>>
>>64639659
it was literally fake plastic trees tier. Thom Yorke wishes he never wrote it and is embarressed.
>>
>>64639392
Sit Down. Stand Up. (Snakes and Ladders) is pretty good
>>
>>64639495

fuck off retarded 12 year old nigger
>>
Anyone have a Daydreaming mega?
>>
>>64639667
but
>THE RAINDROPS
>>
>>64639708
Let down was even worse. The two weakest tracks off that album.
>>
>>64639692
A melody being poppy or simplistic is not a bad thing whatsoever, and No Surprises is catchy as fuck. Definitely not the best song on the album but it's certainly not the worst, either.
>>
>>64639756
okay now THIS has gone too fucking far. let down is GOAT
>that chorus
>that ending 20 seconds of electroronic bleeps that soundsl ike you're rising to heaven
>>
>>64639626
Ye boi
>>
>>64639756
>He thinks Let Down is the worst OK Computer song

Let Down is the best song Radiohead have ever recorded, easily, never mind OK Computer.
>>
>>64639755
Still one of the better ones off HTTT , I did say the build up was good
>>
>>64639756
Oh come on , they rarely got that heart wrenching ever again , except maybe on In Rainbows
>>
In Limbo is my absolute favorite part of Kid A and one of my favorite RH songs in general. Wish they'd play it live more often. Fingers crossed it pops up at one of the shows I'm going to but I doubt it

Feral is good on record, but it was absolutely bone moving live. Surround sound with decent bass might be imperative to help people get into that one, but I love it

Also Black Star, Faust ARP, Jigsaw, and Scatterbrain. Love those songs.
>>
>>64639692

It's simplistic for a reason that suits the point of the song, and it's excellent for it
>>
>>64639424
>what army
>>
I Will and Scatterbrain.

I Will because the context of it is fucking dark as shit, and I love minimalistic Radiohead.
>>
SCATTERBRAIN
>>
i wish i understood amnesiac. it's (almost) my least favorite album :(
>>
Gagging order, supercollider, fog, cuttooth, talk show host.
>>
>>64640151
What , you mean Pablo Honey and The King of Limbs might be above it
>>
>>64640070
Right on , people in this thread need to listen to Amnesia again
>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6nmq_XK9a4
>>
>>64640197
yeah. i really like tkol and pablo is...decent but i just cant get into amnesiac
>>
Friendly reminder that Life in a Glasshouse is their best song.
>>
>>64639392
the trickster - v. matt bellamy vibe.

Hope this track sees the light of day soon.

>>
>>64639484
let down is probably my favorite track off the album

Electioneering is a good song - it doesn't fit in with the rest of the album, but I don't think it gets the attention it deserves

Good Morning Mr. Magpie

Morning Bell Kid A version is one of my favorite tracks by them but I think sometimes it gets overshadowed by Idioteque.
>>
>you were alive for Radiohead
>your kids will tell you how lucky you were

I am citizen insane and where bluebirds fly were both side A material.
>>
Why does discussion of this band make me cringe so much? Even if i meet someone irl who likes the band i just say "yeah they're good" and avoid talking about it even though they're easily my favorite band.
>>
>>64642769
100% this. if you say anything else you look like a fucking neckbeard.
>>
Why didnt they use Radiohead's James Bond song ?

I think it's so much better then 'the writings on the wall' by a mile
>>
>>64642855
Teenage girls like Sam Smith more than some whiny old dude who looks like a homeless person who's in a band that that one weird kid in your class is obsessed with.
>>
>>64642483
Haha
>>
Amnesiac b-sides man
>>
Kid A the song
>>
>>64642769
Because we're a generation incapable of encountering the world without irony, and Radiohead are unironically inspiring
>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6nmq_XK9a4

(best b-side in their catalog)
>>
>>64642769
This happens with anything that's both popular and genuinely good. That combo attracts all types and some notably rabid and cringeworthy fans/discussion.
>>
spectre & planet telex are underrated af
>>
>>64643133
The butcher and supercollider should have been saved up for this new album.

"Fog" is such a beautiful song:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VG8519yWOtM

Also, reminder that Radiohead made a somewhat shoegaze song:

You beat me to Fog. It's crazy good, all versions of it.
>>
>DOLLARS AND CENTS

Electioneering is my shit; sharp-sounding guitar and violent as fuck.
The only song i can't stand on OC it's "Exit Music (For a Film)", i cous hear it by itself, but it always kills my vibe for a moment on that album.
>inb4 by the end of the song it's GOAT

Morning Bell is one of their best songs. I think it is has a subtlety that a lot of people miss or don't get.
>>
A friend of mine loves Hunting Bears and I genuinely do not get what he is seeing in it, but that would probably be his pick
>>
>>64648049
I like it too
>>
Go To Sleep Live
That fucking guitar solo lmao
>>
>>64639713
Polyethylene is brilliant, it's so explosive and the choppy time signatures are good fun.

I second people who said Life In A Glasshouse too, I've never liked jazz and that song hit me like a brick shithouse when I first listened to it properly.
>>
>tfw they picked the shit James Bond song over based Radiohead's version that could of been a classic if they took the risk

Holy shit, when Identikit switches at 1:40

Big Boots is a song they literally wrote as a james bond theme

spectre's fine but Big Boots is their true Bond theme and it fucking rules oh my god I love that song so much
