pic is a bit outdated but i've only slightly rearranged things since then so it's pretty much the same

the modules under the k-station that i've just haphazardly stacked on top of each other are an emu esi-32, yamaha tx81z, and yamaha fb-01 in case you can't see from the shitty pic.

>>64618104
>nerds with disposable income
>disposable
i've reallocated most of my food money to spend on synths instead

i survive solely on dollar store instant ramen and my own sick beats

>>64618301
>that 8-track recorder
legit jealous

how's it sound? must be great for lo-fi stuff since each track takes up half of what a 4-track would record to on tape.

well someone obviously stole it and threw that god-awful smurf bukkake finish on the body

possibly the es-1 or ea-1. the er-1 was bought off reverb lol

you did well by selling them though; they're fragile as fuck. already had the power jack on one of mine get loose and need to be re-soldered.

>>64618835
>mixer with firewire
>firewire
aren't pretty much every interface made for at least usb 2.0 now? i can't imagine why anyone would manufacture one that connects via firewire instead of usb 3.0 now.

mine (fw-1082) is only firewire because i was cheap and had to settle for a mixer/interface that was a decade old

>>64618832
>3 mechanical keyboards

m8 i think you should rework your budget allocations
>>
>>64618864
it's a good record. I change my background every day. maybe you could post an image and I'll change my background to that image.

>>64618866
lol the keyboards are just a hobby but acid is life.
>>
>>64618931
I have some other synths and a handful of drum machines but I sold a ton of stuff when I got into making synths out of samples in the box.

I only kept the unique synths like a Korg Poly-800 with the "moog slayer" mod. no sense in keeping anything generic around.
>>
>>64618931
Ahh, I sold an ES-1 and EM-1 as a pair.

Yeah they are very fragile. The effect selector knob on the EM-1 was busted inside and korg didn't have any replacements. If you swirled the knob around though, it made some pretty crazy sounds.

gameboy camera + 3.5mm jack for gameboy sp

gameboy camera had this little hidden sequencer/synth where it has a wavetable synth, analog subtractive type synth, and 2 noise synths with a 16 step sequencer

not pictured is my dsi with korg's ds10 software

best examples of my gear are

https://soundcloud.com/emptycity/1a-1
guitar and voice were sampled using a CD-J, a billy idol cd, and an america cd
the drums are from the shitty panasonic toy drum machine you can see at the bottom next to the microkorg

https://soundcloud.com/emptycity/oasis
almost all of the sounds are from the roland d110. everything was recorded through the TEAC cassette deck, recorded onto logic, and then bounced back to the TEAC

https://soundcloud.com/emptycity/forever
vocoder is from the microkorg, the drums are from the cat piano and panasonic drum machine, the mellotron was sampled, the bass is from the taurus, the leads are the prodigy, and the breathy pad is from the poly800

https://soundcloud.com/emptycity/jangle
synth sounds are mostly prodigy, clav is sampled, drums are played through the electronic kit in the bg, bass and guitar are all played through a D/I, there's a little bit of the poly 800 buried in there
>>
>>64618931
That's just what I heard

So I should look for one with usb instead?
>>
>>64619765
if you've got a firewire port then i don't think there's any reason to avoid getting a firewire interface, i was just under the impression that manufacturers wouldn't be making firewire interfaces anymore since it's not a very common thing for computers to be equipped with firewire ports nowadays.
>>
>>64619821
Yeah, it is some bullshit having to put a firewire card into my freshly built computer so that I can use my audio interface.
>>
>>64619821
I don't think mine has one but you could always install it or get an adapter
