Coal Chamber and Crazy Town each made a comeback last year, others like Skindred and Drowning Pool also released new stuff recently

There's just a technicality aspect in my opinion that separates them from being nu-metal
Also, if Corey Taylor could do growls and not a raspy scream, they could even be considered death metal to an extent. I think it's the DJ/sampling stuff that associates them with nu-metal though
