READ THE PASTA BEFORE POSTING

ETIQUETTE
-Include correct format (artist / band, title of release, year of release, cover art, the file type (v0, 320 mp3, FLAC, etc), short description, YouTube sample, link)
- Send thanks if you have downloaded something to let them know they did a good thing
- Avoid sharing / requesting things that are already on the archive
- Soulseek /rutracker are your friends, too - just don't argue in this thread about it

REQUESTS
>I have a request! Did I...
- Check the archive for a live link before requesting?
- Share something first?
- google "blogspot + artist name + album name"

>I don't have anything to share!
- Have a Goodwill, thrift store or library in your area? Try picking up the most obscure thing you can find there and share it. Somebody might be happy you shared it!

ARCHIVE
>"I don't know how to find what I'm looking for in the archive"
- Go here: >>>>https://archive.rebeccablacktech.com/mu/
- When searching, limit your search to links only, like so: "desired album mega | zippyshare | mediafire"
- Make sure you've typed "zippyshare" and not "zippy", or else Zippyshare links will not be found.
- No samples available on Youtube, Soundcloud, etc? Drag'n'drop any MP3 on clyp.it

FOOTNOTE FOR FUTURE THREADS; Please for goodness sake, stop replying to every shareless request with "Share before requesting". It's even worse than a shareless request, because at least requests can result in a share. All "share before requesting" does is add a post to the thread that doesn't contribute to anything. If someone didn't read the pasta before posting, that's their own fault.

>Mi Buenos Aires Querido - Daniel Barenboim on piano (featuring Rodolfo Mederos and Hector Console on bass and bandoneon). [1996]

These are instrumental versions of several tangos by Astor Piazzolla (not all of them, but most), a well known tango composer. I really like it, and the piano guy really emphasizes the aestethetical elements that make tango a singular...um... 'genre'?

Pic related is not the cover of the album because it's shitty, instead it's a pic of Piazzolla.

Anyway, enjoy.

Fatou Seidi Ghali & Alamnou Akrouni - Les Filles de Illighadad (2016)(320)

>folk, left-wing, traditional malian folk

Two girls from a village in the sahel and one guitar between them make beautiful music.
>The new record of Fatou Seidi Ghali and Alamnou Akrouni – “Les Filles de Illighadad” – might be called “traditional music,” for lack of a better word. It’s that music that fills the day to day aspect, a constant familiar sound. It’s hard to talk about, because its corollarly so clearly does not exist in the industrial centers or the so-called “Western” world. It’s rural music. It’s village music. It’s music for when you don’t have electricity, immediate Youtube access to every recorded sound. It’s music that exists when performance trumps playback. The term village music or rural music might be better, as any claims to it’s authenticity or “traditionalist” elements would be work apart.

Lino "Capra" Vaccina - Antico adagio (1978)
>minimalism with a strong prescence of melodic percussive sounds (one-man project). This isn't the 2014 reissue with 30 minutes of bonus tracks: if you have it, feel free it to share it!
>"Rather than the crack ensemble who performed Reich’s music, most of Antico Adagio is rendered by Vaccina alone, who is credited with vibraphone, marimba, tablas, darbuke, gong, cymbals, bells, metal sheets, tom, and snare. Smatterings of other sounds like oboe, violin and female voices also mix in and it never quite feels like the work of one lone drummer banging on metal. Carefully layering these voices, there are moments that bring to mind Gregorian chants and Tuvan throat singing, or when '60s psychedelic acts cast their voices in massive amounts of echo to suggest the blackness of deep space."

you don't want to share anything from S to Z?
>>
>>64602499
I think that the rules in the sharethreads are absolutely fair. It might sound a little elitist, but truly some people don't even search in google and come here asking for records that I can find in 30 seconds.
Why should I waste my time uploading something to someone that is just lazy and won´t give anything back to the comunity? This threads are call SHAREthread, not REQUEST-thread. The fun part is that if I share something and an anon likes it he can show me something that could interest me.
Also, you could do your own sharethread without this rules or invent a new kind of threat with the fucking name that you want and the rules that you want.
You CANT do what you want, if you dont share no one will listen to your request. Easy as that.

Thank you!
>>
>>64605669
Fucking typical.

I invite you to prove me wrong, and this is your minimal effort reply.

While we're giving advice, here's some for you: Do not ever question my convictions, intelligence or integrity without appropriate cause or evidence because I will motherfucking collapse on you with the wrath of the discontent and maliciously wronged masses.

I am the vessel who through sheer desperation and will am imbued with their powers, their anger and animosity, and can reduce your existence to rubble and would do so without a second motherfucking thought.

Pull this shit again and you will be due a very, very unpleasant existence. Do not motherfucking test me. My existence is one of fragile volatility and unless you're determined to realize the full extent of my malice you'd be wise tread softly.

Your words do not move me. I do not tremble at their weight.

I can summarize my response to your expression in one word: Cringe. The very fact that you think I'd in any sense or sound reel at such empty, impotent rhetoric is the ultimate cringe-inducer and I suggest you immediately either retire such aspirations entirely or pick up a book and invest what little intellect your frame retains wholly in matters of literature and prose.

I've been on this site far too long for your feeble posts to rouse from me more than a faint chuckle.

I hereby conclude our discourse. Goodbye.

1. Soulseek -- Carries FLAC/V0/320 you name it.
2. Rutracker. -- carries a lot of FLACs, 320 kbps etc. Also your regular PTs incl TPB and Kat.cr
3. Music DDL find this via google eg mp3/mra yoursongname here. DON'T stick to a list of blogs. DL everything with jdownloader first. If there isn't a link but it plays you can rip the song via a debugger
4. Anime.bytes and Jpopsuki which will cover about 5-10% of music that the first 3 sources will inevitably miss.
5. For the remaining 1% of songs webrip (192 kbps - now defunct), Spotify (160 kbps) and Youtube (confirmed shitty transcode). If you have access to QBuz (whatever it's called) or Tidal you can webrip in FLAC.
6. For every song you can't get you must record it from soundcard. (Thus 100% of music found on the internet is covered).
7. Request song/music on WCD.

Seems like you've never done anything to warrent thanks or praise before. You don't thank someone for an expectance of it making something happen, you thank someone to show genuine gratitude. It makes both the giver and reciever of the thanks feel good. But, as I said, you've probably done anything to make anyone feel like they sould thank you so you really don't know the sincere joy of being appreciated.

Poor Fell, I feel for you.

I got a coupla more African shares. Sorry for fuctzing up the Filles de Illighadad upload.

Amara Touré - 1973-1980
>jazz, afro-funk, afrobeat, cumbia, funk, tropical
>It is the late 50s, and Senegal is going crazy to the groove of Son Montuno and Patchanga. Brought to West Africa by Cuban sailors in the early 40s, these styles were immediately adopted by a flourishing music scene that did not hesitate to embrace the Caribbean sound, mixed it with their own Folklore, and, in the process, created something new. Through the unique cultural fusion of West African and Caribbean influences, Latin music took on a new and unique sound - the format was reinvented.

Claudio Arrau - Claudio Arrau in Germany
>One gets a fair semblance of Arrau's artistry through a remarkable cache of recordings made for German Radio in 1937 and 1938. They are released here for the first time, with the exception of the Liszt E Flat concerto, which appeared on a long unavailable Russian Melodya LP and two rare commercially issued Parlophone 78s, added as encores. While Arrau made several important recordings prior to his emigration from Germany, his pre-war discography is small in comparison to his prolific output from the mid-forties on, when the pianist's international reputation solidified. The present compilation, therefore, adds significantly to what we know of Arrau's prime years

Gonna share a classic:

Various Artists - Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the First Psychedelic Era 1965–1968 (1972, 1996 CD Re-issue)
>Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the First Psychedelic Era is a groundbreaking compilation album of American psychedelic and garage rock singles released in the mid-to-late 1960s. It was assembled by Jac Holzman, founder of Elektra Records, and Lenny Kaye, later lead guitarist for the Patti Smith Group. The original double album was released on LP by Elektra in 1972 with liner notes by Kaye that contained one of the first uses of the term "punk rock".

Sony Enang - Don't Stop that Music (1982, v0 and FLAC)
>tropical disco, afropop, afrosynth

Insanely rare afropop record from Nigeria. Horribly dated synths throughout, but still danceable as hell.
>This is a rip of a reissue of Sony Enang's "Don't Stop That Music," released in the early 80s on Tabansi/Taretone (TTL 186). I was lucky enough to procure a still-sealed copy of this gem. Of course, the record was in VG+ condition when it came out of the sleeve, with some minor scratches and some pitting, which demonstrates the generally low quality vinyl/pressing found on Tabansi/Taretone releases from this era. Regardless, the rip turned out extremely well, and for the first (and probably only) time I can say that this Tabansi record was ripped on its first play!
