Tim
accepting no debate on either of these
Happy Sad

le deab gribs amirite :D
I didn't know James Franco made music.
It's such a shame they both died so young. They were so talented and had a lot to offer. Tim was going through his 'sex funk' period, which was pretty bad, but was talking about making a comeback. Jeff was just getting started after an amazing debut album. Such a shame

Sketches isnt nearly as good as Grace tho. He had years to write that first album, plus help from that guy who played with Beefheart.
Not sure about Tim. I stopped with Starsailor.
Jeff Buckley is the most overrated artist of all time.
Jeff had guitar skills. Tim was pretty good at songwriting though.
Tim had a series of impressive albums:
Happy Sad, Blue Afternoon, Lorca, Starsailor where he mastered some vocal abilities that remain unmatched to these days.
Jeff had just one album and died too soon, so there is no comparison,
Happy Sad / Tim (easily)

But Sketches have some really good songs, I think that Jeff would have a great career. His singing was great
Grace is the best album of the 90's
Prove me wrong my lads
i wonder if the album cover was purposefully referencing happy sad
Tim Buckley easily for both categories which isn't to say Jeff is bad.

you're joking right?
jeff doesn't even come close

Happy/Sad
Tim
Tim had a much longer career and the jury will always be out on Jeff. But Jeff's one (and a half) album was leagues better than Tim's best in my opinion. He showed crazy potential, but Tim proved his longevity. They were both great though.
