For drake a 6.8 is generous. This was the most uninspired, bland album I've heard all year. The production was ok but even the beats offered no innovation, 40 tried to inject splashes of vividness and different sounds here and there to little avail. Drake sounded bored the entire time, like this is a chore for him at this point and his lyrics were vapid as can be. I feel like he doesn't know anything exists outside of memes, girls, texting, 'enemies,' and money. He's a one trick pony who plays it safe to stay relevant.
