I assume you mean Vetelgyus? It was my introduction to them last year-ish. Some weak moments but some super catchy ones, as well. I think it's pretty solid.
In terms of funeral doom, I'd have to recommend Ahab's The Divinity of Oceans. I know The Call of the Wretched Sea is meme'd more but I vastly prefer TDoO with those thick tasty riffs. Apart from that I don't really know, I'm just starting to get into Funeral Doom myself. Maybe you'd like the third disc of Swallow the Sun's latest release.

Advance to the Fall has some fucking crazy guitar work, I'd say it's worth listening to just for that, if nothing else. Also, this might be an unpopular opinion but I do prefer their newer singer over their older one, and while I can still enjoy his singing, it does sound a bit off sometimes.

So fucking crazy. When I was first getting into Galneryus, I probably listened to them non-stop for about a month or two. It was so surprising how quickly they became one of my favourites. It's just like, when you first listen to an album you're absolutely floored by their mastery of melody with nip magic.
It's so rare for bands to have the ability to just consistently blow you away song after song, album after album. Off the top of my head, really only Bathory and Summoning have been able to make me feel the same way. Maybe Anathema too.

Just listened to this lads. It was pretty good - definitely an original atmosphere for a tech death album. Couldn't really remember much from it but I guess it takes a few listens to sink in. Carved From Stone has a lead guitar that reminds me of Capcom games for some reason.

I loved the change of direction Let the Devil In had compared to the earlier albums and it's probably my favorite album from Sargeist. I loved the melodic riffs and cleaner production. I doubt the new album is going to be totally like it, though, considering how different Feeding the Crawling Shadows was from LTDI. I also don't think you bring in a guy like VJS to make an album you've already made previously. I'm still not too sure on what to expect, though. I could go any direction.

You know, people love to attribute the success of The Red in the Sky is Ours solely to Alf Svensson's musical direction but people really downplay the influence other members had on the album, especially Anders'. Looking back Anders commented about how he thought that some of the ideas Alf had for the album were pretentious or overly experimental, so it seems that the album was made using Alf's creativity to bring forth ideas while Anders grounded them in reality, Alf even admitted that at the time that Atheist was his favorite band so it's not like he was completely averse to experimental song writing. Whatever happened, it seems that Alf, Anders, and the rest of the band drew the best out of each other. Everyone knows how much of a disaster post-TRitSiO ATG is and how painfully bad The Haunted are, coupled with the fact that this self-indulgent mess was Alf's first album after his departure shows just how badly the band members needed each other to produce something amazing.
