Or, just how many albums by them that you feel like putting in

Bump
might as well post a few of my own while I'm at it
I call Anco
This sort of counts
>>64512205
Let's see if I beat you
>>64512327
strawberry jam is definitely a summer album
>>64512358
It's definitely a winter album.
The entire experience is the sort visceral "sunny on a winter day" kind of family thing.
Plus, Winter Wonderland.
>But Fireworks
New Years.
>>64512358
>>64512358
No
The first half is Summer, the second half is Winter
There is literally no arguing this
>>64512327
I made one with panda bear and avey tare albums as well but that was a while back. Not gonna look for that shit.
cowabunga
>>64512102
interstate 8 & long drive are deffo summer albums
building something is winter
otherwise correct
>>64512327
this is perfect. good job
>>64512273
Also for AC.
>>64512397
extremely accurate
>>64512410
switch oddsac and sung tongs
switch mpp and chz
>>64512327
Mine is way better
>>64512499
Shit I forgot Oddsac, it's in fall
>>64512466
>switch oddsac and sung tongs
Lolno.
ODDSAC is Halloween.
Sung Tongs is November since its most likely to snow then.
>switch mpp and chz
Still no.
June is the month with the most rainfall in Baltimore.
July has an electrical feel with all the storms and fireworks.
>>64512499
>STGSTV
>Spring
>HCTI
>Spring
>Feels
>Fall
This is why your chart is trash.
>>64512499
>feels in fall
i'm sorry but that is a spring album and there is nothing you can say that will convince me otherwise.
also, HCTI is summer in the sense that it feels like a sweltering day and you just cant cool down
otherwise passable
i couldnt decide between fall or winter for la di da di
>>64512499
feels 100% has a spring vibe to it though. and sung tongs should def be in fall, winters love is such a cozy song
I was honestly thinking of just putting Melon Collie into winter along with Adore, but then I realized the album's a bit too bitterweet (excluding the name), so I settled for Spring, though it'd probably be VERY early Spring, when the snow isn't done completely falling just yet.
Also I'm sorry but I can't be fucked with putting in the rest of their discog
>>64512679
not bad but I'd put Depression Cherry into winter and move their s/t to Summer. DP has such a snowy wintery feel to it imo
.
i stand by yeezus being a winter album
>>64512399
But both Interstate 8 and Long Drive have such a sad, almost depressing demeanor to them. I can't see tracks like Talking Shit or Edit the Sad Parts being Summer. I know both albums have a bit of a slight surfy feel to them but come on man
>>64512730
I get what you mean, but it has the same vibe (if not the same sound) as a lot of slowcore, which is solidly autumnal.
>>64512113
>Lousy
>Not a summer album despite the 60's/70's rock vibes
>>64512835
>Slowcore
I don't know about that, I mean I can see a bit of an Cocteau Twins-esque Ethereal Wave influence on some of the album, but I can't really see it being Slowcore
I listen to albums and artists exclusively by season and/or month.
I thought I was the only one
It fits so much better with a 4 album full discography.
>>64512803
perfect
>>64512844
It's a hot autumn album.
>>64512812
i guess it's maybe because i had a really sad summer last year and listened exclusively to early modest mouse haha
i respect your opinion though & still love you very very much
Spring -Ys
Summer - Divers
Fall - Milk-Eyed Mender
Winter - Have one on Me
Is perfect
>>64512955
It's okay, I love you too dog
>>64512996
:)
Genesis is a very wintery/cold band, I think it's the synth sounds and 12-strings that do it.
Wind and Wuthering is prime Christmas season listening for me.
>>64512378
Fireworks is definitely 4th of July sorry bruh
>>64512381
I agree with this more
>>64512886
YEEZY YEEZY YEEZY JUST JUMPED OVER JUMPMAN
I felt like too many of their albums could fit at least 2 seasons, so I cheated a bit
>>64512410
Accurate as fuck
>>64513103
This actually makes much more sense to me
>WE ARE SPRING
>WE ARE SUMMER
>>64513103
I always felt, especially since both albums have many of the same songs, that Falling Through a Field and Start a People were twins as autumn and spring, which are very similar seasons with particular different tones.
The stronger presence of synths on Start a People feels like the flowers and sunshine of spring, while the acoustic guitar on Falling Through a Field is the falling leaves.
>>64512171
No Junk?
>>64513387
tbf I made this before the album was released
Haven't really listened to it yet, where would it fit best? I'm guessing Summer?
>>64512113
I've always felt like Hissing Fauna is a summer album in the same way Familiars is a summer album
>>64513386
Absolutely, that's just where my thoughts were too.
I think the most startling, and most symbolic Spring/Autumn difference is seen in "I Think It's Beautiful That You Are 256 Colors Too". Both versions are great, but they each definitely showcase the season each twin belongs to.
>>64513445
I'm definitely in the Hissing Fauna winter camp. The only way I can see it as summer is in some kind of super hot, quiet summer day you spend locked in your basement kind of thing. A kind of isolation that's more offered or understood to be winter-ish
Also any of them can be under fall
>>64513445
>>64513518
Hissing Fauna can be summer, but only in Norway, so everything is still covered in snow and the nights are still cold.
>>64513673
On top of that, it's about his depression and anxiety and self-isolation and whatnot - winter themes.
>>64513641
I would put Sauna and Don't Wake me Up into spring, Clear Moon and Glow pt 2 into Winter, No Flashlights into autumn and It Was Hot into summer
But other than that it's not bad
>>64513747
OP here I actually agree with those changes. Works better I'd say.
>>64513673
>>64513722
The lyrics are very winter-y but the music itself sounds very summer-y to me
It's always reminded me of coming out of your house for the first time after the end of a long winter and coming to terms with everything
>>64512399
>tito in the corner
>>64513795
>OP here
But I'm the one who made the thread, what are you talking about
>>64513722
You ever go to a party you didn't even really want to go to, but put on a happy face anyway and sort of tried to maintain a feeling of positivity and excitement because, hey it could be fun, but over the course of the night you become gradually less and less happy? And the room inside is almost sweltering from all the people talking and having fun, while you're not having any, so it just gets on your nerves and makes you anxious? So you decide to just sit outside and smoke, and you face the coldness and the darkness of the night as the light and sound of people happier than you glows behind you and all you can do is tighten your face in that cold and let your unhappiness sink in?
That's exactly the situation Hissing Fauna is.
>>64513808
The synths are so cold to me it can't be anything but winter.
>>64512640
Siamese Dreams definitely feels more like a summer album to me
>>64513829
Original poster of the Microphones post*
>>64513879
oh that makes more sense then. Sorry bout that mad
>>64512145
AND THE PAAAAAARK IN THE SUMMER
>>64513888
lad*
fuck me
>>64513387
Cause it's junk m8
>>64513912
lol no problem m80
>>64513673
You don't know what Summer in Norway is then, unless you mean like the tippity tops of the mountains there
>>64513959
Should all be in summer.
>>64513959
>Death in June
>Only two of their albums are Summery
>>64513990
Definitely not. The majority of it is dark and cold. There's no way Peaceful Snow could possibly be considered summer.
>>64513991
I noticed the irony, too.
>>64514184
This is actually accurate, imo
>>64513837
>>64513808
While I certainly understand the summer sentiment, I still think it fits perfectly for the winter. It's when I listen to it every year
>>64513959
And here's Current 93
>>64512803
I'd put LR in Fall
