But calling something good or bad implies you are commenting on the actual nature of something rather than how you feel about it.
It's more accurate to say that you like or don't like something instead, because you're commenting on your feelings about the art, not the art itself.

This is a common point I see brought up. I do agree that the aspects of craft and technique can be measured objectively, but these qualities are not what determines how much someone enjoys a piece of art. Artistic value, as in the feelings someone has for a piece of art, are entirely arbitrary.
As an example, there are outsider artists and avant garde artists that have created works considered by some to be influential and "good" even though these pieces are in defiance of traditionally good craft and technique, or without the noticeable influence of artists with good craft and technique.
All that I'm trying to convey is that art is an unbiased term and it has been largely misused as a biased one, and that how something is made or displayed has no bearing on how "artistic" it is because you can't disqualify anything from being art.

If art is based on arbitrary feelings, then it does not exist.
The only true art is the practice one's respective craft. Not even the product itself is art. But the result of art. Which is a practice. Arguing anything beyond that, is just an attempt to rationalize why your feelings mean more than spit.
