Can someone who has followed Interpol for a long time tell me why Carlos D was so infamous in the New York club scene in the 2000s? I know about that rumour of him giving herpes or something to a groupie and her boyfriend made a website about it but all of the mentions of it seem to lead onto something more extreme.
Everyone online seems to make a big deal of Carlos but I've always been more interested in Paul Banks and Daniel since he usually started the songs off.

I had a joint condition which brings me constant fatigue. Also a weird sinus condition doctors don't know what to do with, it's like allergy but anti-allergy pills don't help at all. In result I slept through most morning classes and couldn't keep up, although I actually was one of the best in my class before 3rd year of college.
I would go back but I barely can support myself working. No one would pay for me, there's no options, I have asked many. Except to work 30 hours a week and study 30 hours a week.

There never was hope. Russia is not US. I would be made fun of for the rest of my life for going back to college when I'm 25, getting weird looks every day. If I did, I'd have to sweat my back, remember everything from high school.
My joint condition affects my memory capability. I easily forget stuff and feel my brain got less sharp over time. In other words, once you're fucked, you're fucked for life. At least I didn't get drafted.
My plan so far is to work low wage jobs and jerk off until I die from old age. I'm grateful for Internet—it makes life much more enjoyable. Helps me feel some self-justification.

That doesn't make them less of a modern rock band. Just because there aren't any completely brand new, absolutely enormous bands right now doesn't mean that rock is dead, as long as that artist is putting out albums, not covering songs or doing a greatest hits, they're still a performing and working band and there's a lot of rock out there (i.e. indie, blues-based, alt or slightly popish, punk-influenced [The Thermals are a great example of what I mean here] and various other mixtures, as long as rock is the main base). And rock's cycled a little bit more around to underground and local scenes, it'll probably come back around to limelight at on point or another, and, if it doesn't, there will still be albums put out and people will still listen to them.
Only 2010+ band that comes to mind right now is Car Seat Headrest.
Don't listen to rock as much as I used to.
