Marina didn't sell out you dumb fuck. She "did" for her second album, Electra Heart, even though the entire album and the Electra Heart character is a parody of artists who have sold out and pop music in general. She simply used it as a way to make manufactured pop music to try to gain fame quickly (hence the selling out as previously mentioned), realized she didn't really want that after it didn't quite work out, and then went found herself and made wrote the entirety of Froot alone.
