Yeah not only that, they're appeal, at least here on /mu/, is that they're this kind of under-appreciated shoegaze band, so their non-shoegaze albums aren't really generating that must interest.

Some of it's cool (Green Eyes, Idiot, Super Soaker, a couple others I can't remember), but Nathan's vocals can get really grating and the whole "hey I'm a constantly stoned piece of shit" theme tires itself out quick. It's pretty good too. The band's thing before that album was kind of just making quirky unconventional noisy arrangements with pop melodies, but that album was really when they focused those skills into good songs. I'd consider the EP a continuation of that sound.
