That recording sucks, Zach's drums are so low and EQ'd shittily, and there's no Andy, although they do have some present effect for ride, but When Andy's actually there, putting delays or filters on Ride or Zach free form, it's so good. I think Ride's gotten better with endurance and maintaining a good sound throughout the show and when they tour on BP shit that'll be no problem considering he doesn't scream or do many vocal gymnastics too much. And I think Zach doesn't get too ahead of the best at all anymore really.

it's without a doubt the most "2.0" track on the album and the only one that doesn't sound like anything they've done before (save for Eh, maybe). it also doesn't follow the verse-chorus-verse structure like most other tracks on BP do.

You're crazy, Trash is amazing. The synth it opens with sounds nothing like DG have done elsewhere, that song is so weird. That hook is anthemic, too, I love it.
Warping is awesomely depressing, I love when that really saturated ride voice is rapping the hook about becoming warped over those rising little synth strikes.

Hot head totally follows verse-chorus-verse. The verses are the parts with the intense guitar and drumming and the chorus is the part with the synth that starts with "Seeeelf afflicted". That's the hook.
I love Hot Head, but I think the opener and closer are definitely also in that category of songs that sound like nothing DG has done before. The opener is straight-up blast beating and the closer is almost a Boris song. That wall of guitar sound is so great.

What didn't you guys like about Warping? That wwas one of my favorites, the synths were aggressive and the piano(?) sample was cool. It's cool for them to do such a slow song and have it remain heavy.
