The Powers That B is their best album. Niggas on the Moon is obviously incredible, which we can mostly all agree on, and Jenny Death is great too, though massively underrated by /mu/ because of it's rockier sound.

Hearing that was probably the biggest surprise on the album, I was not expecting anything like that at all and I love it.

Hot Head took a long fucking time to really grow on me, but now I fucking cannot get enough of this verse, and I think this is probably the sickest lyric on the entire album. This should have been the opener, as it is the only track that uses the 2.0 sound, and even that sound is phased out on the track itself after the intro and replaced with live instrumentation

Parts of the album feel like someone desperately trying their best to sound like Death Grips. Especially the hooks. Don't get me wrong, they're TMS-levels catchy as fuck, but most of them really do sound like a shitty imitation; particularly Warping and Houdini.
That factor alone is what removes this from being my first or even second favorite album of theirs. Even back when Hot Head dropped I thought to myself "damn this sounds like a fucking imitation".
Maybe they just reached that point in their career, idk.

I like the album, don't get me wrong, but it seems like they're using more and more presets and they've lost that Death Grips sound. On TMS, Exmilitary and NLDW they sampled some really interesting stuff and had a really unique sound. Same with NOTM. But this, I don't know. I recognize 2 or 3 presets which is kinda strange.
