After my first listen of the album, I'm pretty pleased with it, not blown away. But it was pretty good. We'll see if that changes with time.
The standout tracks after a single listen are, these made me excited to go back to and listen to on repeat. Not saying they're the only great ones on the album, but they fucking kicked my ass and I want them in me more.

Okay, just finished my first listen:
First of all, fuck whoever says the bitrate doesn't matter. The quality was shit, I can't wait to hear to actually hear the whole of it clearly.
Anyways seems like they just wanted to have fun with this record. It's not too experimental, mostly just continues what they have been doing recently, with touches of DG2.0 and Interview, which are cool. I like how alot of it is rather raw, some songs are the closest DG ever got to punk (with GBPGI really sounding like aggresive punk, Andy's synth or whatever is almost like a very rough guitar) - I find it refreshing.
This album is probably their most melodic as well, some parts of it are funky.
I don't really think it's the next DG masterpiece but definitely their most fun album after TMS. That said, I really want to listen to it again in a decent quality before I decide.

I listened on head phones and I think it would probably be more enjoyable listening on my phone speakers. some of those synths and the synths on the drums are really fucking fatiguing. I like the album and it's the best they've done, but it's actually put me off a little bit. It was exactly what it says on the tin; very shallow. doesn't carry the same emotional weight their other work did.

I was kinda hoping for a Birds-type song on the album where I'm like "lol wtf is this, DG?" but over time it grows on me. But it seems like most of this I really like right away.

Stefan lived with the Grips in a dilapidated house and survived with the help of his father. That record has an aura of "art-rap" that the previous albums don't have. The savage spontaneity of the warped hip-hop in Exmilitary is transformed into an artistically conscious program, albeit just as spastic. The humor of On GP is abandoned in favor of an eccentric but serious humor reminiscent of Erik Satie. The infernal fumes of Government Plates evolve into complex and angular harmonies. What comes out is one of the most creative, courageous albums of all time, decades ahead on the rest of experimental rap music.
In many ways this record is the equivalent of CLPPNG in clipping's career. Fantano wrote that CLPPNG only seems the product of absolute madmen, while in reality it is the expression of the madman one second before folly takes over.
The most notable difference from the earlier albums is the duration of the cuts, for the most part very short. Another superficial difference is in the lyrics, augmented by memes.
The work is so innovative and complex as to be nearly indecipherable. The rhythm section sounds so polyrhythmic that all rhythm is lost.

Idk Jenny Death was so hyped that if this was released instead people probably would've been underwhelmed and complained about it being samey. Jenny Death kinda had that epic rock feel that plebs love, but BP is better of course. I think they made the right move.
