I just thought they would have all be sold out by now. I had walked by the Prince name card and there was nothing there. A bit later I headed towards the treasure bin section and sure enough, there are 4 copies. It was a great feeling, because a few days before he died, I had seen quite a few copies by his name card. I went back the day he died and they were all gone. So naturally, I thought they had been bought out immediately

It's a cool find and all but you can still buy the CD's online for really cheap prices. After all, there are thousands upon thousands of copies still in circulation.
Merits the tag of 'cool find' but not 'rare' imho.

About a year ago, I found the Pac Man single by RDJ's Power-Pill side project in a charity shop for £1.
I was stunned.
Preordered the new Steve Hackett DVD/CD set and about to order Paralytic Stalks on vinyl, does anyone have it to vouch for the quality?

A lot of these CDs are from a trip to Toronto I took last week. I saw the Melvins/Napalm Death/Melt-Banana concert, then I stayed at a hotel and caught a 420 celebration the next day.
The Elvis and Tom Waits CDs were bought super-cheap from a store going out of business (R.I.P. Amoroso). Jets To Brazil and Sunny Day Real Estate were going for less that $3 at Sonic Boom for some reason, while the Jawbreaker reissue and Cleveland Bound Death Sentence were something like $5. Deltron and Zappa/Beefheart were tagged "2 for $20" at HMV. Venomous Concept is a band featuring Buzz from the Melvins and two guys from Napalm Death, and I bought it at the concert along with the Napalm Death and the signed Mike/Melvins and Melt-Banana CDs at the concert. TMBG - Phone Power was waiting in my mailbox when I finally got home the next night, which I received as part of my IFC 2015 membership. Also, I got that Swans CD for free because I had a full stamp card for my local used CD store, and Off The Wall was on a Wal-Mart check-out display for $5.

I usually don't stoop to buying vinyl reissues due to the fact that most of them are pressed like garbage. Thankfully the Jawbreaker LP and Shawdowy Men boxed set are some really good exceptions. Anybody who wants that Deltron 3030 download code is free to redeem it -- if you even can.

All 3 bands were great. I was actually impressed Melt-Banana was able to pull off what was basically a karaoke set so damn well. I hope they recruit a rhythm section for their next headlining tour, though.
i got most of these yesterday at the swap meet for 50 cents and the rest for a dollar. i bought the descendents cd for my friend because i know he likes them a lot

I would absolutely not recommend listening to Swans with a mishmash compilation like this.
Swans albums are concepts and journeys, not simply collections of songs to be picked apart and re-arranged.
This serves as perhaps an introduction and a cool collector's item considering its unofficial status, but definitely check out the albums instead.
