Why is Don't Stop Believin' hated by so many music listeners?
Who?
Because it's the most overplayed 80's song
It's a sheep song, a pecking order song, a food chain song. It's presence alone is harmful.

No, Journey.

>overplayed
I honestly have no idea what that complaint even means, unless you're saying that you're a radio pleb who constantly has the dadrock station on
Eh, it's really overplayed. I don't personally mind it, but I try not to listen to it anymore because there's nothing exciting about it to me anymore, it's just the same thing i've heard many many times before.

He is right, go to any almost any bar or restaurant with a jukebox and this crap song will play

this is actually legitimately true, i just saw the nielsan or billboard or i forget which metrics aggregator it was for 2015 and journey was no. 1 in classic rock/pop radio.
either way i don't listen to the radio that much anyway but when i do, i hear it pretty often regardless. i do like journey's greatest hits in general though.

Because it's overplayed, watered down, 80s pig slop.

Just overplayed. It's actually a good song but man it's been fucked to death. Steve Perry is an awesome vocalist. Hits everything live.
It's become the white anthem.

Boring
It's the one Journey song you're guaranteed to have heard if you don't live in NorCal.
The Sopranos ruined it
IDK. Steve Perry could literally make women's panties melt right off of them back then.
cause it's just another pop song
