Great voice, a few good albums by slipknot, rockist faggot though for calling out Kanye on the "greatest rock star alive". Fan base is terrible too. I'll admit I don't mind slipknots music though.
He has an amazing vocal range and a very charismatic voice for rock. He can sing anything, check his live performances with Camp Freddy singing famous rock songs. He is one of those guys who people on /mu/ love to hate so stick to your memes to achieve a false sense of superiority if you prefer.

I like Slipknot, but mostly the early albums. Corey Taylor has some very interesting vocals on the self titled and Iowa, and while he has a pleasent voice on later albums the music itself isn't very good. With that said the best Slipknot album is Mate Feed Kill Repeat so maybe Corey ruined Slipknot. Stonesour is pretty awful either way though.
Also I read his first book "7 deadly sins" and it had some interesting ideas, but seems as though a high school student was writing a philosophical paper.

I saw Stone Sour live in 2007 and Slipknot in 2009. I have to say that Corey Taylor knows how to put a performance live and his voice was amazing live, regardless of if you like their music or not is very fun to see them.
