Who are your favorite third-tier rappers (in terms of popularity)? These are rappers who are not mainstream successes yet, probably a few tracks out on soundcould, but have potential to be good. I'd say the tiers are
>First tier
Everything they put out is instantly a massive hit and discussion of them is almost nonstop. They might not be innovating or avant-garde but their shit is highly popular
The only three I can name are Drake, Kendrick and Kanye.
>Second tier
These artists are mainstream successes but not to the same extent of tier-one stars. They might get there some day, but for now they can just sit pretty on their millions.
Examples: Future, Young Thug, A$AP Rocky, Travi$ Scott, etc.
>Third tier
As explained above, these guys are relatively unknown, but have a lot of potential. Lil Uzi Vert is someone who I think is a tier 3 in transition to a tier 2. My favorite tier threes are
Playboi Carti, Torey Lanez, ILOVEMAKKONEN, and Kodak Black.

Some tier 3s I follow: Ka, Nickelus F, Slug Christ, Antwon, and Milo. They're all doing some pretty cool stuff in their own individual lanes.
Tier 2 would also include chance and Kevin Gates (you wouldn't think Kevin is tier 2 but check those sales)

Gotta be the crucifixion album. That's his magnum opus. When he raps over his own production, he pulls off crazy experimental vocal work. He's seriously a true artist, it's a shame no one gives him the credit he deserves.
Hoping we get a sequel album, where he goes full auteur mode again. His drug addiction has me really scared he might not make it though.
Haven't checked out any of his pre-trap stuff.

Nah Diego is good. He's good life but I feel like his music isn't as hype as everyone was getting like getting hype to a track like Diego isn't like getting hype to lil Uzi Vert IMO. He does moodier stuff like LA Confidential way way better. I think he should get away from Bangers like Say it imo and focus on mooder stuff.
